Job Description

Position Summary

The District Manager will lead the analysis, execution, and acceleration of profitable revenue generation within the (Nashville, TN) District to realize the potential of new and existing revenue streams and achieve optimal sales effectiveness. This person will set clear and tangible goals; as well as attract, develop, coach, and retain key players of the sales organization. Leading the training and development of the Branch Managers will be an important responsibility expected of this leader. In this role, agility, flexibility, and responsiveness to change are critical in creating a competitive advantage for the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, execution, and acceleration of profitable revenue generation within the region
  • Coach, train, and develop Branch Managers in all aspects of sales and marketing in a multi-location, retail environment
  • Set short-term and long-range strategic revenue goals in accordance with the directive of the Vice President of Sales
  • Accountable for the district’s revenue growth, as well as monthly reports and training
  • Build, lead, and manage the sales team within the region
  • Identify, develop, motivate, and coach talent; building bench strength
  • Communicate sales strategy to Branch Managers, monitor the strategy as the team executes, and focus the team on executing and meeting the right sales goals
  • Create a positive atmosphere across the region and increase employee engagement and morale; reducing employee turnover
  • Execute policies, procedures, metrics, key performance indicators, and compensation plans to drive and incentivize the realization of sales targets and revenue goals
  • Measure and analyze productivity of employees within the region
  • Hold Branch Managers accountable for executing set plan of action
  • Teach company policy, procedure, and culture to all employees within the region
  • Teach sales concepts and process to the sales team
  • Lead recruiting efforts within the region
  • Play to win

Job Requirements

Ideal Experience

  • 5+ years of sales, business development, and/or marketing experience
  • 2+ years in a management level position
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 220 license holder preferred
  • Proven sales leader with multi-unit experience managing sales teams in a gritty, hands-on environment
  • Experience selling in a high volume, small ticket, sales environment
  • Experience within a multi-location organization
  • Skilled at understanding and managing sales functions
  • Business acumen: Solid working knowledge of strategic planning, goal-setting, sales, and business development
  • Experience working in a very competitive, high-growth environment with accountability for sales and business development
  • Ability to earn the respect and trust of employees
  • Ability to connect with lower level employees within the region and make employees work towards a common goal
  • Travel: Willing and able to travel throughout the greater (Nashville TN) area
  • Language: Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required
