Confie is a leading privately-held national insurance distribution company headquartered in Huntington Beach, California. The experienced management team continues to build Confie’s portfolio of regional insurance brokerages, with multiple subsidiaries and more than 740 retail locations.

Confie is currently seeking a Paralegal to work as part of a team that consists of a General Counsel, 2 Associate General Counsels, Counsel and 2 Paralegals.

Position Description: The Paralegal will report directly to an Associate General Counsel. This Paralegal will focus on Litigation and response to consumer complaints (emphasis) and ideally have some level of knowledgeable to support the other paralegal in the following areas.


  • Litigation support including opening and maintain the matter in Legal Tracker; calendaring key dates; determining proper service; evidence gathering and responses, etc.-Emphasis
  • Managing and tracking subpoenas and record requests-Emphasis
  • Department of Insurance and BBB responses to consumer complaints-Emphasis
  • Real Estate transactions support, including lease maintenance
  • Contract management/administration support
  • Mergers and Acquisition support


  • Corporate governance and compliance including formation and maintenance of corporate and LLC entities
  • Department of Insurance entity licensing
  • Intellectual Property management/administration
  • Organizing and tracking files and maintaining knowledge repository in Legal Tracker



Job Requirements

      • Qualifications and Skills:


      • Paralegal Certification and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with either a reputable law firm, or as an in-house Paralegal (insurance, banking or other high volume customer facing industry preferred)
      • Highly proficient in the Microsoft Suite of office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio (preferred, but not required).Familiarity with Legal Tracker or other billing management system
      • Familiarity with Legal Tracker or other billing management system
      • Familiarity with SharePoint or other document management system
      • A team player with a customer focus
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality
      • Exhibit attention to detail and accuracy in composing, typing and proofing materials, planning and organizing to meet deadlines
      • Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively communicate and present at all levels, both internally and externally
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize and work well in a fast paced environment
